Kirsten Leenaars

Joel Craig (Chicago), Luis Felipe Fabre (Mexico City) and Kirsten Leenaars (Chicago) remixed their idea from six years ago for Lit&Luz festival 2020. This completely new bi-lingual piece constructs and deconstructs narratives of power, history and belonging. Using language and image itself as political operatives through mistranslation, interpretation and collapsing. Visuals and sound track are derived from recordings of protests in Mexico City and Chicago.
